About Kimberly

Hello!

Hi! I’m Kimberly. As an organizational psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping MBA students, executives, teams and clients gain clarity about what they want and need to move forward and achieve their goals, I’d love to help you create positive and meaningful change.

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

-Viktor E. Frankl

My background

I have always loved working with others to problem solve and provide support when facing challenges. At 14 years old, I became a peer counselor at my high school and continued this role in college, where I majored in psychology. After working at The White House and in high-tech, I still wished to learn more about human behavior and interactions, so I obtained a M.S. in Organizational Psychology and a Ph.D. in Management + Organization. I studied and conducted research on employee motivation (my dissertation was on passion for work), leadership and positive psychology. For more than 20 years, I have been teaching organizational behavior, management and leadership in higher education and partnering with organizations and individual clients as they seek to create positive work environments and increase their personal and professional effectiveness. My greatest passion continues to be helping others (maybe with a few more tools than when I first started as a teenager!) identify their strengths and skills, clarify their values, and set new career and life goals.  My approach in both coaching and consulting focuses on self-awareness and the power of choice. I empower clients to be more intentional in redesigning their personal and professional roles using research-based tools and proven methods to achieve meaningful results.

I have led projects across a diverse set of industries, including Brainard Strategy, Louis Vuitton, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Cityview, and Experian. I am certified in the Marshall Goldsmith Coaching Program, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior (FIRO-B), Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) and Emotional & Social Competency Inventory (ESCI 360).  My work has been featured in publications such as Fast Company, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Inquiry and The Oxford Handbook of Positive Organizational Scholarship
